6月27日，东石派出所接冯先生报警，称其公司工地上探矿用的套管等作业工具被偷。接警后，民警迅速赶往现场开展侦查工作，并迅速锁定嫌疑人刘某。7月3日，派出所联合县局侦查中心成功在梅县区将刘某抓获归案，并将被偷财物悉数追回。
事后，冯先生在“平安厅”信箱留言致谢。
