日本首相、自民党总裁石破茂7月21日在自民党总部召开记者会，表示接受此次参议院选举结果，他作为自民党总裁作出谢罪道歉。但他表示，眼下有迫在眉睫的美国关税谈判问题、物价上涨问题，为了不使国政出现停滞，应该尽到责任，他将继续执政。石破茂称，稍早前他已与公明党党首进行会谈，确认继续进行联合执政的方针。（CCTV国际时讯）
