据《读佳》7 月 17 日爆料称，从多方获悉，京东计划推出“京东外卖”App，该独立 App 已由“京东到家”App 的开发公司上海京东到家友恒电商信息技术有限公司完成开发，或择日上线。
京东外卖服务上线 40 天，日订单量突破 100 万单；随后于 4 月 22 日突破 1000 万单，覆盖 166 个城市；6 月 1 日，京东外卖日订单量突破 2500 万单，超过 150 万家品质餐饮门店入驻。
目前，京东外卖服务与此前的电商购物服务共用京东 App，用户需要在 App 首页顶栏的“秒送（外卖）”栏目中浏览下单。
