当地时间7月17日，韩国多地普降暴雨，多地区降水量刷新了当地的最高纪录。截至当晚11点，韩国全国各地降水量达到每小时20至80毫米左右。暴雨导致道路和建筑浸水，引发泥石流和山体滑坡，持续的暴雨已造成4人死亡，超过2700人被紧急疏散，铁路、航空、船舶运行也被迫取消。
