据中国地震台网正式测定，7月14日8时1分在缅甸发生3.8级地震，震源深度10公里，震中位于北纬21.71度，东经99.69度，距我国边境线最近约28公里。
震中100公里范围内有3座大中城市，最近为孟连傣族拉祜族佤族自治县（Menglian Daizu Lahuzu Vazu Zizhixian），距震中约71公里。震中5公里范围内平均海拔约1143米。
