北京时间7月9日，根据利物浦跟队记者David Lynch的消息，利物浦将按照原计划在7月13日与普雷斯顿进行季前赛。
David Lynch表示：“利物浦原定于周日在迪普戴尔球场与普雷斯顿的季前友谊赛将按照计划举行。”
由于前锋若塔的离世，利物浦推迟了季前集结时间。7月8日，利物浦球员被拍到陆续返回AXA训练中心。按照现在的情况，球队仍将按正常节奏进行季前备战。
