据欧洲篮球媒体Basketnews报道，消息人士透露，奈杰尔-海斯-戴维斯拒绝了费内巴切提供的一份3年税后总金额高达900万美元的新合同（合同前两年完全保障），选择了和太阳签下一年底薪（税前200万美元）。
奈杰尔-海斯-戴维斯原来的合同要到2027年夏天到期，为了重返NBA，他还掏了100万美元买断费。
