北京时间6月26日，NBA选秀大会上，刚满20岁的中国球员杨瀚森在首轮第16顺位被开拓者选中。据北京日报，这位身高2米18的中锋成为第九位被NBA选秀大会选中的中国球员，并且6月26日恰好是杨瀚森的生日。 2016年在周琦和王哲林被选中后，9年以来，再没有中国球员通过选秀大会进入NBA。杨瀚森改变了这一状况。
