京东创始人刘强东是宿迁人，长期以来都有在家乡进行慈善活动。此次与宿迁队的合作，京东会在主场比赛日提供福利，宿迁当地特产也借机得到推广，达成支持宿迁队以及品牌的商业宣传目的。
