北京时间6月19日，2025年亚洲击剑锦标赛在印度尼西亚巴厘岛继续进行，中国选手王子杰摘得男子重剑个人赛金牌，队友张新堃收获一枚铜牌。
男子重剑个人赛决赛，中国选手王子杰15-13战胜日本选手，为中国男重时隔十年再夺亚锦赛个人金牌，同时这也是中国队在本届赛事的首枚金牌。前两个比赛日，中国队收获1金1银2铜。
赛后接受采访时，王子杰表示：“感谢团队支持，这个冠军为中国男重打气，期待团体赛更好表现。”
