近日有多名网络用户发现，微信在测试将聊天记录备份至外部存储设备的功能。6月17日，微信团队回应称，微信正小范围测试聊天记录备份功能优化，和当前仅支持备份到电脑相比，优化后的功能支持用户通过手机微信，将聊天记录备份到外部存储设备（如U盘、移动硬盘），且可创建及管理多份备份文件，并支持自动备份。目前该功能更新在持续扩大测试范围。
