《以色列时报》14日发表文章称，以总理内塔尼亚胡在去年11月就曾下达了摧毁伊朗核计划的命令。他表示，一旦真主党不再对以色列构成威胁，伊朗就会急于研发核武器。内塔尼亚胡还表示，以色列希望将袭击伊朗的时间定在4月，但由于“各种原因”，再加上美国的介入，最终打击时间定在了本月13日。
