当地时间5月16日，联合国发言人办公室表示，联合国欢迎当天在伊斯坦布尔举行的会谈。发言人说：“我们希望这一进程能够实现乌克兰全面、立即且无条件的停火，这是为乌克兰实现公正、全面和可持续和平创造条件的重要一步。这一目标应符合《联合国宪章》、国际法及相关联合国决议。”联合国强调，愿意支持所有有意义的努力，助力实现这一目标。（央视新闻）
