北京时间5月11日，根据济南时报体育部的报道，中国篮协日前向地方体育局和各俱乐部下发《中国篮球协会入籍篮球运动员管理办法（试行）》，再次启动球员归化工作。
山东高速篮球俱乐部负责人表示：“俱乐部目前还没看到具体细则，如果有合适的外援人选，肯定会全力进行归化。”
