4月23日，全国双拥模范城（县）命名大会在北京召开。我省14个市（县）被命名为全国双拥模范城（县），11个设区市全部被命名，首次实现“满堂红”。
14个市（县）分别是：太原市、阳泉市、晋城市、吕梁市、大同市、临汾市、运城市、忻州市、朔州市、长治市、晋中市、侯马市、怀仁市、岢岚县。
