指引性制度跟规范性制度相对应，规范性制度告诉员工什么不能干，对人是种约束;而指引性制度告诉员工应该千什么，这对人是一种正向的引领。
以家长教育孩子为例，有的家长对孩子只有约束没有引导，不允许孩子干这个、干那个，一堆的清规戒律，而孩子应该干什么、应该怎么干比较好，却一点都不提。这样的管理方法很难教育出积极阳光的孩子。
