当地时间3月31日，央视记者获悉，美国新泽西州纽瓦克市市长当日向州法院提起诉讼，称特朗普政府和私营公司GEO Group在没有获得适当许可的情况下，就宣布开设一个新的拥有1000张床位的移民拘留中心。纽瓦克市市长表示，政府和该公司未能获得建筑和其他许可，违反了城市法令和州法律。
据悉，美国移民和海关执法局上月宣布在纽瓦克开设一个移民拘留中心，称这将是特朗普第二任期开设的首个移民拘留中心。（央视记者 徐德智）
