马科斯-阿隆索将会为塞尔塔再效力一年，他的续约选项已经激活，续约到了2026年6月份。这位34岁左后卫这些年里主要担任中后卫的位置，也因此在塞尔塔焕发第二春，已经为球队在西甲出场22次，20次首发，在国王杯也出场了2次，一共打进3球。
目前，塞尔塔在西甲联赛排名第8，正在力争欧战资格。
