3月24日，中国发展高层论坛2025年年会在北京继续举行。美国知名经济学家、哥伦比亚大学教授杰弗里·萨克斯（Jeffrey Sachs）在现场接受界面新闻等媒体采访时表示。美国正在自我孤立，他对美国如今的所作所为感到遗憾和悲哀。 他认为，中国需要继续坚持目前的开放道路，为全球发挥更大的建设性作用，即使没有美国，世界其他地方也会继续向前发展。
