3月5日，据中国东方航空消息，东航将于4月28日开通上海浦东—阿布扎比直飞航线（航班号MU237/8），成为首家开通这一航线的中国航司。该航线每周执行4班，采用A330大型宽体机执飞。目前东航共执飞5条中东航线：上海浦东至迪拜、利雅得，西安、青岛、昆明至迪拜。
