3月1日，中国足球协会发布《关于对球员王思寒违规违纪的处罚决定》称，中国足球协会竞赛部于近日收到有关人员提交的球员注册信息及情况说明，经核查，中国足球协会纪律委员会认定球员王思寒存在年龄及身份造假行为。中国足球协会纪律委员会作出如下处罚：停止球员王思寒参加中国足球协会举办的比赛3个月，禁赛时间从2025年3月1日至2025年5月31日。
