2月25日，深圳市七届人大六次会议召开，深圳市市长覃伟中作政府工作报告。报告显示，2024年深圳新设外资企业9738家，占全国16.5%，深圳出入境人次增长45.6%，占全国39.3%，外国人入境数跃居全国城市第二。2024年，共有15位外国元首和政府首脑到访深圳。
