英伟达在CES 2025发布了基于Blackwell架构的GeForce RTX 50系列游戏显卡。其中英伟达提供官方Founders Edition版本的只有RTX 5090、RTX 5080和RTX 5070三款提供。随着GeForce RTX 5090外观解禁，不少新显卡的设计已经放出，其中也包括Founders Edition产品。
目前已经有多家外媒带来了GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition的开箱内容，其采用了新的包装设计，与之前的GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition有所不同，引入了环保的纸质材料，不再使用塑料，也不再是黑色，体积减少了一半。
对比上一代RTX 4090 Founders Edition，RTX 5090 Founders Edition厚度减少了许多。其整体尺寸为304 x 151 x 50 mm，恰好满足SFF-Ready标准的要求。从其他厂商发布的GeForce RTX 50系列显卡来看，Founders Edition应该是唯一满足SFF-Ready标准的RTX 5090产品。
