洛杉矶县警方称，“看起来就像是在这些地区投下了原子弹。”
从火灾前后的卫星图片对比和火灾后的航拍等画面来看，其中两起大型山火“帕利塞兹山火”和“伊顿山火”造成了极其严重的破坏。火灾过后一片焦土，犹如电影中的世界末日，触目惊心。
