本场比赛双方陷入鏖战，首盘比赛，德米纳尔关键分上发力7-5先下一城，阿尔卡拉斯次盘回敬6-4扳平比分，双方通过抢十决出胜负，德米纳尔10-5笑到最后。
此前结束的另一场慈善赛中，中国选手郑钦文2-0（6-2、6-2）战胜斯维托丽娜，取得新赛季开门红。
