当地时间1月6日，戴尔科技公司宣布，“XPS”和“Inspiron”等沿用几十年的个人电脑产品名称将被取消，新一代设备将简化为戴尔（Dell）品牌。戴尔的笔记本电脑和PC将采用类似苹果iPhone的命名惯例，系列产品命名分别为Dell、Dell Pro和Dell Pro Max。
