The 2024 Badminton World Federation (BWF) Finals came to a close on December 15 in Hangzhou. Chinese shuttler Shi Yuqi outclassed Denmark's Anders Antonsen 2-0 in the men's singles final, reclaiming the championship six years after his initial triumph in 2018. Meanwhile, China also clinched the women's singles and mixed doubles titles. In the women's singles showdown, Wang Zhiyi turned the tables on Han Yue. In the mixed doubles, the retiring "Yas" Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong edged out the Malaysian pair 2-1. Shi Yuqi's victory surely gave his confidence a significant boost. All in all, China pocketed three golds, with South Korea and Denmark each securing one. (Photo/BWF Badminton World Federation)
