当地时间11月14日，加拿大邮政工人工会（CUPW）宣布，大约5.5万名邮政工人将于东部时间15日凌晨开始罢工。
工会表示，虽然经过一年的谈判，但劳资双方没有取得任何进展。加拿大劳工部长史蒂芬·麦金农（Steven MacKinnon）称，已经任命一名特别调解员来协调双方劳资谈判。（央视新闻）
