10月17日，台积电在法说会上更新海外厂进度，其中提到，日本熊本的第二座特殊制程技术晶圆厂已经开始整地，兴建工程计划于2025年第一季度开始。第二座晶圆厂将支持公司在消费性、汽车、工业和HPC相关应用的策略性客户，并预计于2027年底开始生产。
