加拿大统计局当地时间15日发布报告称，2024年9月加拿大消费者价格指数（CPI）同比增长1.6%，低于8月2%的涨幅。这是自2021年2月以来的最小涨幅。报告称，汽油价格下跌是9月整体通胀率下降的主要原因。
加拿大央行今年来已经3次下调基准利率，每次降息25个基点，至4.25%。分析认为，9月的数据加大了加拿大央行加快降息的可能性。（总台记者 赵淼）
