据利物浦俱乐部官网消息，前红军队长耶茨因阿尔茨海默症离世，享年 86 岁。耶茨 1961 年加盟利物浦，是球队历史上的 “巨人”，他曾帮助球队重返顶级联赛，赢得多个冠军。利物浦对他的逝世表示哀悼，俱乐部将降半旗致哀。
