根据开发商Remedy的最新公告，原版《心灵杀手》（2010年）将于9月10日晚上8点进行更新，适用于所有PC平台（Steam、GOG、Epic），本次更新将从游戏中删除歌曲《Space Oddity》，作为替代，将添加Petri Alanko的新原创歌曲《Strange Moons》。
官方表示此次更新是由于歌曲授权变更导致的，不过，《心灵杀手：复刻版》（2021年）不会受到此更新的影响。
