8月31日消息，在三家竞争者中，有两家在最后一刻退出，并警告说他们无法提交可行的报价后，一场耗资10亿英镑的英国直升机竞标陷入了混乱。国防承包商空中客车公司和洛克希德·马丁公司选择不在周五截止日期前提交最终竞标书，因此只有列奥那多（Leonardo）英国公司参与了替换英国皇家空军老旧的美洲豹直升机的竞争。
