据央视新闻，4月8日上午，执行中国第40次南极考察任务的中国第一艘自主建造的极地科考破冰船“雪龙2”号抵达香港，将展开为期五天的访问行程。香港各界在尖沙咀海港城举行热烈的迎船仪式，此次是“雪龙2”号首次到访香港，也是继“雪龙”号2004年停靠香港后，中国极地科考破冰船时隔近20年再次访港。
