北京德闳｜2024德威新加坡奥林匹亚盛会圆满落幕

德威奥林匹亚盛会（Dulwich Olympiad）是一项独一无二的面向德威德闳大家庭全体成员的盛会，通过丰富多彩的运动、戏剧、音乐和艺术活动，彰显旗下各校学生和教育社区的风采。活动的目的不仅是为了让学生挑战自我，更是为了让他们有机会结识不同背景的同龄人，了解其他国家文化和其他德威德闳姐妹学校，建立跨越国界的珍贵友谊。

第三届奥林匹亚盛会在新加坡德威国际学校圆满落幕。来自德威德闳大家庭13所学校的891名学生汇聚在新加坡，包括德威公学、詹姆斯艾伦女子学校、北京德威英国国际学校、上海德威外籍人员子女学校（浦东）、上海德威外籍人员子女学校（浦西）、苏州德威外籍人员子女学校、首尔德威英国国际学校、（新加坡）德威英国国际学校、苏州工业园区德威联合书院、珠海德威国际课程高中项目、上海德闳、北京德闳、西安德闳，其中艺术组59人，戏剧组79人，音乐组143人，体育组610 人。学生们在五天的旅程中，体验了一系列艺术、戏剧、运动、音乐等主题活动，造访了新加坡当地的著名景点，如城市地标鱼尾狮雕塑、梦幻的滨海湾花园、探秘夜间动物园等。

北京德闳学校代表团的38名学生首次亮相奥林匹亚盛会：

⚽ 体育组 27位同学共斩获银牌2枚 （U13女子足球，女子羽毛球） 和铜牌4枚 （U13女子篮球，女子羽毛球，男子羽毛球，男子足球）。

艺术组 4位同学参加了四天的大师课和工作坊，参观了国家艺术馆，对公共艺术进行采风，拍摄照片，创意绘画，制作首饰、铜管台灯、鞋子、服装等。此外，他们与新加坡艺术家Ripple Root共同创作奥林匹亚主题壁画，将永久展示在新加坡德威学校。在最后一天，艺术组的学生们在艺术展上展出自己色彩斑斓的作品。

音乐组 7位同学在四天专业的工作坊中密集训练与彩排，和来自20多个国家的143名乐手和歌手联袂奉上精彩演出。就在一周前，这群不同校区的孩子之间还那么陌生，他们擅长的音乐类型和交流语言各不相同，然而音乐的魅力将这群年轻人迅速凝聚在一起。每天，他们在Greenhouse和排练厅挥洒汗水，一遍遍地练习曲目，分享各自的想法，从最初的生疏到后来的默契，每个孩子的进步令人瞩目。最终的演出不仅展现了交响乐团成员的才华与实力，更让我们为音乐和友谊的魔力震撼。

作为首次在德威奥林匹亚亮相的北京德闳，孩子们取得了令人倍感欣慰的成绩，但此次盛会的意义远超于成绩。这是一次感受与尊重多元化的盛会，是一次德威德闳大家庭学生携手学习、创造、合作与成长的契机。五天虽然短暂，然而学生们提升了技能，收获了友谊，成就了自我。

友谊长存，无论校区，无论国界。

每天在校园里，都能够发现新的友谊正在建立，跨文化理解的桥梁不断搭建。学生们在相互学习和交流中认识到自我尊重和相互尊重是维持长久友谊的基石。

每天都有学生兴奋地跟老师分享，今天认识了哪个学校的哪个朋友，发生了什么趣事，想要交换邮箱成为笔友等。在离别的最后一天，每个人都依依不舍，相互拥抱。

不断向前，追求进步，完善自我。

无论学生选择体验哪个领域，他们都会参加大师课，与当地知名艺术家、设计师、导演、世界著名指挥家和音乐家、专业运动团队合作，提升技能，增强自信，加强韧性，学会如何合作与表达对队友的关心与支持。

当体育组输掉比赛，当艺术和音乐组看到他人震撼的作品或演出，学生们开始主动反思，复盘失败的原因给自己打气，不会因他人的闪光点而自卑气馁而是吸取长处快速成长。

激烈的体育赛场上出现伤员在所难免，为了团队的胜利全力以赴，发生意外受伤的情况，学生用坚强的笑容予以回应。

纵使四年一次，奥林匹亚盛会却充分彰显出德威德闳大家庭的一家多校优势。希望无论学生未来在哪里，在做什么，他们这周收获的技能，参与的活动，缔结的友谊都能成为一段宝贵的财富。

最后，衷心祝贺第三届德威奥林匹亚盛会圆满落幕，非常期待2027年上海德威国际学校举办的下届盛会！

The Dulwich Olympiad is an unique event for all members of the Dulwich and Dehong family, highlighting the students and educational communities across sister schools through a wide range of sports, drama, music and arts activities. The purpose of the activity is not only to allow students to challenge themselves, but also to give them the opportunity to meet peers from different backgrounds, learn about the cultures of other countries and the sister schools, and build precious friendships across borders.

In the past week, the third Olympiad event concluded successfully at Dulwich College Singapore. 891 students from 13 schools in the Dulwich and Dehong family gathered in Singapore, including 59 artists in the art group, 79 actors in the drama group, 143 musicians in the music group, and 610 athletics in the sports group. During the five-day trip, the students experienced a series of themed activities, and visited famous local attractions in Singapore, such as the city's landmark Merlion sculpture, the dreamy Gardens by the Bay, and the night zoo.

The 38 students from the Dehong Beijing School delegation made their first appearance at the Olympia event:

The 27 students in the sports group won a total of 2 silver medals (U13 women's football, women's badminton) and 4 bronze medals (U13 women's basketball, women's badminton, men's badminton, men's football).

Four students from the art group participated in four days of master classes and workshops, visited the National Art Gallery, viewed public art, took photos, created creative paintings, and made jewelry, copper lamps, shoes, clothing, etc. In addition, they collaborated with Singaporean artist Ripple Root to create an Olympia-themed mural, which will be permanently displayed at Dulwich College Singapore. On the last day, students from the art group displayed their colorful works in an art exhibition.

Seven students from the music group underwent intensive training and rehearsals in a four-day professional workshop, and performed wonderful music with 143 musicians and singers from more than 20 countries. Just a week ago, this group of children from different schools were strangers to each other. Their music types and communication languages were different. However, the charm of music quickly brought this group of young people together. Every day, they practiced the songs in the Greenhouse and rehearsal hall over and over again, and share their ideas. From the initial unfamiliarity to the now tacit understanding, the progress of each child is remarkable. The final performance not only demonstrated the talent and strength of the symphony orchestra members, but also shocked us by the magic of music and friendship.

As Dehong Beijing makes its first appearance in the Dulwich Olympiad, we are deeply pleased with the results achieved by the children. Each step of the journey has been about much more than competition or performances, it has been a celebration of diversity and testament to the power of coming together to create, to complete and to collaborate. Although the five days were short, the students improved their skills, gained friendships, and achieved themselves.

——We have gained friendships that span schools and even national boundaries.

Every day on campus, friendship formed and bridges built between cultures. Our students learnt the understanding and respect are the foundations of which lasting relationship are built .

Every day, students excitedly share with their teachers that they met which friend from which school, what interesting things happened, and want to exchange email addresses and become pen pals. On the last day, everyone was reluctant to leave and hugged each other.

————We gain self-growth as we move forward.

No matter which field students choose to experience, they will participate in masterclasses and work with well-known local artists, designers, directors, world-renowned conductors and musicians, and professional sports teams to improve their skills, increase their confidence, strengthen their resilience, get respect for oneself and others, and learn how to collaborate, show kindness and help each other.

When the sports group loses the game, when the art and music groups see other people's shocking works or performances, the students begin to take the initiative to reflect and review the reasons for failure to encourage themselves. They will not feel inferior and discouraged by others' shining points but learn from their strengths.

It is inevitable that injuries will occur in the fierce sports competition, and students respond with strong smiles.

Even though it only happens once every four years, the Olympia event fully demonstrates the advantages of the Dulwich and Dehong family. It is a celebration of what it means of coming together to learn from each other and to grow together. As we look to the future, let us remember this week as shining example of how unity, diversity and share love of learning can create a better world for all.

Students as you continue on your joinery the days and years to come, we wish the experience of this week will stay with you. The skills developed, the lessons learnt and friendship nurtured here are resources that you can use to navigate the complex of an ever changing world.

Finally, Dehong Beijing School congratulates the third Dulwich Olympiad on its successful conclusion. We are very much looking forward to the next event to be held at Dulwich College Shanghai in 2027!
