小喜民宿位于北京怀柔区的九渡河二道关十号院，地理位置优越，靠近著名的黄花城水长城，距离大约六公里。这个区域因其丰富的历史文化遗产和自然风光而受到游客的青睐。

Xiaoxi Homestay is located in Courtyard 10, Jiudu River Erdaoguan, Huairou District, Beijing. It is strategically located near the famous Huanghuachengshui Great Wall, about 6 km away. This area is popular with tourists because of its rich historical and cultural heritage and natural beauty.

二道关长城的历史可以追溯到南宋时期，它是北京长城段的一处重要关隘，以其气势雄伟和深厚的历史文化内涵而著称。长城不仅是中国古代军事防御体系的重要组成部分，也是世界文化遗产，吸引了无数国内外游客前来参观和研究。

The history of Erdaoguan Great Wall can be traced back to the Southern Song Dynasty. It is an important pass in the section of the Great Wall in Beijing. It is famous for its majestic momentum and profound historical and cultural connotation. The Great Wall is not only an important part of China's ancient military defense system, but also a world cultural heritage site, attracting countless domestic and foreign tourists to visit and study.

小喜民宿所在的村庄因长城而独特，古老的长城蜿蜒穿过整个村落，让人能够直观地感受到历史的厚重。在这里，游客可以轻易地看到保存下来的烽火台和城墙遗址，这些遗迹不仅为村落增添了历史的气息，也为游客提供了独一无二的文化体验。

The village where Xiaoxi B&B is located is unique because of the Great Wall, which winds through the entire village, allowing people to intuitively feel the thick history. Here, visitors can easily see the preserved ruins of beacon towers and city walls, which not only add to the historical atmosphere of the village, but also provide visitors with a unique cultural experience.

一、设计初心

DESIGNINTENTION

小喜民宿是由多个院子组成的系列民宿，分散于二道关的村落之中，其中十号院与西侧的九号院、南侧的八号院形成一个小的民宿聚落。十号院的基地呈长方形，原为L型布置的两栋民居，早已破败凋敝。老房子为北方民居常见的砖木结构，至今百年历史。十号院的基地面积并不大，业主希望将其改造为公共餐厅和两间客房，公共餐厅为小喜民宿的所有客人使用，可容纳30人就餐。如何应对场地的限制，如何处理公共和私密空间二者的关系，成为优先考量的问题。

Xiaoxi Homestay is a series of homestays composed of multiple courtyards scattered in the villages of Erdaoguan, of which No. 10 courtyard forms a small homestay settlement with No. 9 courtyard on the west and No. 8 Courtyard on the south. The base of the 10th courtyard is rectangular, and the original L-shaped layout of two residential buildings has long been dilapidated. The old house is a common brick and wood structure of northern folk houses, with a history of 100 years. The site area of No. 10 courtyard is not large, and the owner wants to transform it into a public restaurant and two guest rooms. The public restaurant is used by all guests of Xiaoxi B&B, and can accommodate 30 people. How to deal with the limitations of the site, how to deal with the relationship between public and private space, has become our priority.

十号院在原有的宅基地范围内改造，东侧改造为餐厅，北侧改造为民宿，并将两个方向的房屋连接成一个整体。餐厅的东北角抬高为两层，作为多功能室使用，并制造出一处远眺的空间。院落分为两处，东侧的院子尺度狭长，作为入口前院，以交通功能为主。西侧的院子布置了一个大型的水池，以休憩功能为主，水池中穿插布置了圆形树池、舞台和下沉休息区，既与九号院的窗洞和泡池呼应，水池外布置了步道、休息厅，形成了多样化的趣味空间，让每个人都能找到属于自己的安静角落。

No. 10 courtyard was transformed within the original homestead, the east side was transformed into a restaurant, the north side was transformed into a homestand, and the houses in both directions were connected into a whole. The northeast corner of the restaurant is raised over two levels and is used as a multi-purpose room, creating a space with a distant view. The courtyard is divided into two parts, and the narrow courtyard on the east side is used as the entrance front yard, which is mainly used for traffic. The courtyard on the west side is equipped with a large pool, which is mainly used for rest. The pool is interspersed with a circular tree pool, a stage and a sunken rest area, which not only echo the window holes and soaking pool of the No. 9 courtyard, but also has a walking path and a rest hall outside the pool, forming a diversified interesting space, so that everyone can find their own quiet corner.

二、"轻“乡建

LIGHE CONSTRUCTION

餐厅整体采用了胶合木结构，也是设计师一直提倡的“轻”的乡建方式，即采用轻型结构介入乡建。在餐厅的内部，保留了老房子的一榀木架，传统和现代两种不同的木构在此相遇，制造出一种强烈的对比。在餐厅的外部，修复了东南侧的山墙，让其以片段化的方式伫立于原位置，形成了一种特别的张力。餐厅的东侧和北侧外墙采用了石头砌体，延续了老房子的外墙材料，也衬托出了胶合木结构的轻盈。

The restaurant as a whole adopts the glulam wood structure, which is the "light" rural construction method advocated by the original building, that is, the use of light structure to intervene in the rural construction. In the interior of the restaurant, a wooden frame from the old house is preserved, where two different wooden frames, traditional and modern, meet to create a strong contrast. On the outside of the restaurant, the south-eastern gable has been restored, allowing it to stand in its original position in a fragmented manner, creating a special tension. The east and north facades of the restaurant are made of stone masonry, which continues the exterior material of the old house and also brings out the lightness of the glulam structure.

民宿同样在保留老房子的木结构基础上改造而成，南侧则利用钢结构向外扩展，解决了进深不足的问题，扩展出的榻榻米空间正对着水池和远处的山峦，形成了取景器的效果。室内的木板条延伸至室外，与餐厅的外墙板形成了连续的界面。

The guest house is also rebuilt on the basis of retaining the wooden structure of the old house, and the steel structure is extended outwards on the south side to solve the problem of insufficient depth, and the expanded tatami space is facing the pool and the distant hill, forming the effect of a viewfinder. The interior slats extend to the exterior, creating a continuous interface with the exterior panels of the dining room.

十号院的建造经历了相当长的磨合期，一方面是在地化的施工，由当地的村民施工队进行，一方面是胶合木的工厂预制和现场装配。两种力量相互牵扯，各种困难不断，直到最终平衡。

The construction of the No.10 courtyard went through a long run-in period, on the one hand, the construction of the local village construction team, on the other hand, the factory prefabrication and on-site assembly of glulam. The two forces tug at each other, and all kinds of difficulties continue until the final balance.
