use the phone
I'm using the phone to call my friend.
play on the phone
I'm playing on the phone to kill time.
spend time on your phone
spend time on your phone，花时间在手机上，也可以表达你在“玩手机”的意思。
例句：Jim, you'd better not spend too much time on your mobile phone.
I'm playing games on my phone.
I'm watching videos on my phone.
I'm browsing the web on my phone.
可以说：scroll through my phone。
I'm addicted to my phone and I can't seem to put it down.
