据日本电视台报道，当地时间12月7日上午，日本北海道函馆市海岸，大量沙丁鱼尸体被冲上沙滩。目前原因不明。有当地居民对日本电视台表示，第一次见到这么多沙丁鱼被冲上岸，还有居民表示要把鱼捡回去吃。报道称，沙丁鱼尸体大约蔓延100米，目前相关人员正在进行详细调查，并将讨论处理方法。
