用镜头展现“浙里”风采，这位“一带一路”青年说：我舍不得离开中国......

不少管院的老师和同学们都常常看到一个背着相机、拥有西方面孔的身影穿梭在学院、校园的各个角落。

“我们叫他欧文。六月香港IACMR同行出差，印象中他每天都冒雨在香港各个高校奔波，靠谱、敬业和激情！”

“我经常能看到他，每次都举着相机，记录校园的不同风景。”

“我和欧文合作过，开始还怕沟通不顺畅，后来发现他人很热情，有很多创新想法。”......

这些是来自管院老师和同学们对他的评价，他是浙江大学管理学院PIEGL项目毕业生Ervins Gorelovs，来自“一带一路”国家拉脱维亚。

2023年是“一带一路”倡议提出的10周年。在这个充满活力的时代，“一带一路”倡议正引领着世界走向更加紧密的合作。

浙江大学管理学院积极响应这一倡议，坚持教育对外开放，提升中国商学教育的国际影响力，为更多“一带一路”国家留学生提供教育基地，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养管理学专业人才。

来自世界各地的青年学子们在这个文化融合的天地里见证中外友谊、共同发展。Ervins就是其中的一员。作为“一带一路”倡议的实践者，如今他已经在中国安了家。

受“一带一路”倡议影响，

他来到中国追寻更好的自己

早在2014年，Ervins就在家乡拉脱维亚开启了自己人生中的第一次创业尝试。在创业中，他一直在思索，如何才能寻求更好的发展。

在他看来，中国经济快速发展，在商业模式、创新意识都呈现出“突飞猛进”的进步，如果能够来到中国学习，那对于他的个人进步和事业发展都有极大的帮助。“一带一路”倡议为他这样的国际留学生提供了良好的学习机会和环境，Ervins也就此萌生了来到中国留学的想法。

Ervins体内的“创新创业”因子，让他关注到了浙江大学管理学院PIEGL项目。2017年，Ervins带着行李来到了中国，浙江大学，开启了新的筑梦之路。浙里是他求学路途的目的地，也是他实现梦想的起始点。

当初为什么选择来到中国，来到管院？

我去过的很多地方，大多是拉脱维亚的各个城市和西方国家，几乎没有东方国家。但飞速发展的中国，一直是我向往的地方。我认为去中国深造是我扩宽视野的好机会。同时，我了解到“一带一路”政策和倡议，这更加坚定了我去往中国的想法。

浙江大学和我在家乡读的RISEBA大学都获得了CEEMAN认证，我曾收到来自RISEBA大学的电话，在电话中我得到了一些鼓励和建议。因此，我决定将浙江大学管理学院作为我的人生下一站，并在2017年成功拿到浙江大学管理学院PIEGL项目的offer。

如今是我来到中国的第6年，我很感谢管理学院接受我的留学申请，并为我提供了在世界级高校学习深造的机会。

Back in 2017, I had already traveled to many countries, yet mostly to the west from Latvia. Back then I had little to no interaction with the nominal East and Eastern part of the world. When I was given a chance, I thought of China as one of the best entry points to the East that would broaden my horizons. When I learned about the "the Belt and Road" policy and initiative, I felt that China was my best choice.

I ended up applying and being accepted by the School of Management because both ZJU and my former university are CEEMAN accredited. I received an encouragement call and a recommendation from my former RISEBA University to consider ZJU and specifically a PIEGL program as my next stop. It worked! It has been 6 full years and still counting since I first came to China. I'm thankful to both my home university for recommending me and the School of Management for accepting my application and providing me a chance to study at one of the best Universities in the world.

你的班级里，有多少同学来自“一带一路”国家？他们对于留学浙里有何感受？

在我的班级中一共有33名学生，我们分别来自24个不同的国家，其中很多都是“一带一路”国家。毕业后，班级中的10多名同学决定留在中国发展。有些同学找到了工作，以管理学知识服务社会；还有一些同学像我一样尝试创业，开始创办自己的公司。

中国是我们的另一个家乡，我们在中国、在浙大管院有着很多美好的回忆和经历。如今，我和同学们仍然保持着联系，作为PIEGL毕业生，我相信未来我们也会有很多的联系和发展！

In my cohort, we were 33 students representing 24 different countries. Most of them are from the "the Belt and Road" countries.

After graduation, over 10 of my classmates have decided to stay in China and work here. Many had found a job, and several like me started their own companies.

China is another hometown of us，We have many beautiful memories and experiences in China and at the School of Management of Zhejiang University. We all are still in touch with each other. As true PIEGL graduates – I am sure you will hear more about us soon!

响应“一带一路”倡议，

他选择扎根中国、重新创业

在“一带一路”背景下，来华留学、工作、扎根的国际人才越来越多。这不仅为他们的人生带来了更多的可能性，也为我国聚集世界人才、打造创新高地带来了新的发展机遇。

对于Ervins来讲，亦是如此。2019年，Ervins于浙江大学管理学院顺利毕业。毕业后，他决定在杭州这片充满活力和机遇的土地上扎下根来，创办属于自己的创意公司，为各类企业提供设计、建模等服务。

在Ervins看来，没有比杭州更适合创业、生活的地方。在利好政策的引导下，他将自身的设计技术优势与在管理学院学习到的商学知识相结合，以创新设计赋能城市发展，通过自己努力回报这片给予他希望、他也深深热爱着的土地。

毕业后，为什么选择留在中国？

我似乎一直都富有“创业”激情。早在2014年，我还是一名学生时，我就在家乡创办了第一家公司。创业确实会遇到很多挑战和困难，但它们不但没有吓到我，反而让我充满活力。

2019年，从浙大管院毕业后，我毫不犹豫地决定留在中国创业。我不想离开中国，原因很简单：我不舍得这里，我觉得自己能在这里收获更多。

我认为应该将这两年以来自己在中国所接受到的深入学习付诸实践，以创业来检验自己的创新意识、管理知识，实现自己的人生梦想。此外，我觉得杭州是一个非常适合创业的地方！

I founded my first company back in 2014 while still being a student. It seems I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Challenges do not frighten me but energize me instead.

Staying in China and establishing another company here, on the one hand, was an easy decision. After graduation from ZJUSOM (2019), I did not want to leave China for a very simple reason: I did not get enough of it. I think that 2 intensive and vivid study years in China should be put into action and tested in real-life situations. Founding a company as a result of my academic experience at PIEGL was a no-brainer move. I had to test both my entrepreneurial talent and freshly acquired knowledge. Besides it is hard to think of a better place to start your business than in Hangzhou!

可以简单介绍一下你的创业想法吗？

在拉脱维亚，我经营过一家设计公司，对于环境和空间有一定的认识，也很熟悉设计软件的操作。在浙江大学管理学院，我学到了很多商业知识和创新意识。因此我决定综合自身优势、抓住机会，在杭州创办一家公司。

我的公司主要面向各类企业，为他们提供平面设计、工业设计、3D建模和其他相关服务。我希望通过分享我的技能和设计观点，为杭州人民做好事。

back in Latvia I already ran a company in the design industry. I have a certain understanding of environmental space and am also familiar with the operation of design-related software. At ZJUSOM, I learned a lot of business knowledge and innovation awareness. Therefore, I have decided to Putting my strengths, opportunities, and ambitions together, establish a company in Hangzhou.

My company providing graphic design, industrial design, 3D modeling, and other related services to small and big enterprises. I hope I can do good for the Hangzhou people by sharing my skills and design perspective.

你有何感想？

中国“一带一路”提倡指出要加强一带一路国家学生流通，打造教育共同体。我非常认同这一倡议。我很重视教育和文化交流，也很高兴能看到这样的举措。

“一带一路”让教育变得更加跨文化、多元化，也让和我一样的很多留学生得到了国际化、全球化的教育，以及来到中国发展的机会。

I have learned about relevant policies. China's "the Belt and Road" advocates strengthening the circulation of students in "the Belt and Road" countries and building an educational community.

I highly value education and the exchange of cultures. I am happy to see such and similar initiatives including "the Belt and Road" that make education more intercultural and available more people to receive international education and overseas development opportunities than before.

不忘回馈校园，

他用镜头链接“浙”里

不少人提起Ervins，脑海中浮现的第一个画面总是他背着相机的样子。摄影是Ervins所热爱的，毕业后他也通过镜头开启了他与浙江大学、与管理学院的各项合作。Ervins的浙大系列视频作品，让世界看到了浙江大学独特的风采。

在他的镜头中，我们可以看到天马行空的创意、不同视角的校园、极具故事感的浙里风景。他的镜头每一帧都承载着独特的情感，仿佛是一个个时光胶囊，装满了浙大师生的回忆。

很多人看到你背着相机行走在校园中，你如何想到用镜头记录浙里风景？

捕捉“瞬间”和“情感”对我来说很有吸引力，我喜欢探索人、不同的空间、建筑以及他们之间的互动。

我对设计的热情和我的建筑教育背景都让我对摄影和视频产生了极大的兴趣。对我来说，相机更像是一种工具，可以帮助我构建观点并讲述故事。就像科学家有显微镜，咖啡师有咖啡一样，我，有一台相机。

我的中文说得不好，但幸运的是，我可以通过我的设计和图片说话。设计是一门国际语言，相机是一个很好的“翻译器”。拍摄让我结交到了很多中国朋友，也让我开启了与他们的更多合作。

Capturing moments and emotions seems very attractive to me. I enjoy exploring people, different spaces, buildings, and their interactions.

My passion for design and my architectural education background contribute to my interest in taking pictures and videos. The camera to me is more of a tool that helps me to frame an opinion and tell a story. Same as scientists using a microscope, or a barista using a coffee-maker machine, - I have a camera.

I do not speak Chinese well (not yet; but it is just a matter of time), but luckily to me, I can speak also through my designs and pictures. Design is an international language and the camera is a good “translator”. Shooting makes me obtain many Chinese friends and help me to open up more connections and collaborations with others.

你有何感想?

我从浙江大学管理学院毕业已经四年多了，但我们之间一直有联系和合作！我很高兴能通过合作项目来回馈我的学校。

Over four years have passed since I graduated from ZJU, yet my connection with the university hasn't faded! I'm glad I can give back to the community through collaborative projects.

Master Program in innovation, Entrepreneurship and Global Leadership （PIEGL）

浙江大学管理学院“创新创业与全球领导力国际硕士项目”Master Program in innovation, Entrepreneurship and Global Leadership（PIEGL）诞生于2017年，是浙江大学管理学院创立的首个服务于国家“一带一路”倡议的创新、创业与全球领导力全英文国际硕士项目。

PIEGL面向全球知名大学毕业生招生，过去五年来，该项目已吸引来自全球48个国家百余位留学生加入学习。

通过全英文的专题教学、案例研习、企业参访、行动学习等，PIEGL帮助学生深入了解新兴市场的发展特征和成长经验，培育真正适应全球化与多元化工作环境的未来商业领袖人才。
