彭博8月2日消息，美国堪萨斯城联储任命资深前银行家和银行业监管者施密德（Jeffrey R. Schmid）出任新主席，接替今年1月退休的乔治（Esther George）。
作为南卫理公会大学考克斯商学院银行业基金西南研究生院院长兼首席执行官的施密德将于当地时间8月21日正式上任。施密德拥有超过40年的银行业和监管经验，他曾在美国联邦存款保险公司任职并领导建立了Mutual of Omaha Bank，并曾在后者担任董事长兼首席执行官。
