据香港东网报道，今日（30日）上午8时46分，香港南丫岛发电厂对面海面一艘货轮发生火警，船舱位置起火冒烟。消防轮出动并向船只射水扑救，期间特区政府飞行服务队直升机也到场协助救援。消息称，船上1人死亡，另12名船员目前安全。
