受近几天极端寒流影响，吉尔吉斯斯坦境内的终年不冻湖伊塞克湖罕见被冰封。伊塞克湖在吉尔吉斯语中意为"热湖"，平均深度279米 最大深度702米，在湖水深度世界排名榜上位列第七，同时因为湖面海拔在1609米 ，因此也被称为世界上最深的高山大湖。
