1992年12月14日 ，中国著名作家沙汀去世。沙汀，本名杨朝熙，与巴金、张秀熟、马识途、艾芜并称“蜀中五老”。1932年，出版第一个短篇小说集《法律外的航线》；同年，参加左翼作家联盟。
沙汀以《兽道》《代理县长》等一批反映西北乡镇生活别具一格的作品著称于左翼文坛，被鲁迅先生誉为“最优秀的左翼作家之一”。
