11月4日，SINOVAC科兴官微发布消息称，11月3日，旗下科兴（大连）疫苗技术有限公司生产的水痘减毒活疫苗通过世界卫生组织（WHO）预认证（Prequalification, PQ），这是国内首款、全球第三款通过世卫预认证的水痘疫苗。
