EA宣布新版PC端App现已脱离Beta公测阶段，即将取代原有的Origin平台。新版EA App将是EA旗下“响应速度最快，最精简”的PC客户端，寻找游戏内容更加容易，支持后台下载/更新，还将支持把EA账号连接至其他平台/服务（如Steam、PlayStation、Xbox）来显示多平台的好友列表。
现有Origin用户将很快收到数据转移的邀请，之前购买的游戏，上传到云端的存档，好友列表都会一并转移到新版EA App。
