位于滇池北岸的大观楼公园，为一处三面临水，一径相通的湖滨园林。每年七八月份，是观赏荷花的最佳时节，今年夏天，共计450余个荷花品种、50余个睡莲品种在此展出。绕开尘世的喧嚣，藏进一片宁静、淡雅的荷花群中，水光潋滟间，一切烦恼都烟消云散了。
