于明，1977年生于黑龙江齐齐哈尔。1993年，考入中央美术学院附中。1998年 考入中央美术学院油画系，进入第一工作室。2002年任教于中央美术学院城市设计学院。
2010年 开始在职攻读博士学位，师从靳尚谊教授。中央美术学院副教授，博士，中国美术家协会会员，北京油画协会会员。
