据央视新闻，据韩国防疫部门及地方政府初步统计，截至当地时间3月8日21时，韩国在21小时内新增新冠肺炎确诊病例326834例，这是新冠疫情暴发以来，该国日增确诊病例首次超过30万例。其中首尔市确诊病例74247例，也创下了最高纪录。
