当地时间17日，由于俄罗斯与乌克兰之间的地区局势紧张，持续给市场带来恐慌情绪，再加上对美联储3月开始加息的应对准备，美股投资者当天在收盘前一小时内加速抛售，使得美股三大股指出现严重下跌。
其中，道琼斯工业平均指数下跌623点，跌幅达1.8%，创下2022年最糟糕的一个交易日，而标准普尔500指数也下跌2.1%。以科技股为主的纳斯达克综合指数下跌了2.8%。
