证券时报网讯，据央视新闻消息，当地时间1月18日，马耳他籍的罗伯塔·梅特索拉当选欧洲议会新任议长，成为欧洲议会历史上最年轻的议长。
梅特索拉现年43岁，律师出身，曾担任马耳他驻欧盟代表处法律和司法合作官员，2013年当选欧洲议会议员。
